Polimom Says

"All the things Daddy does"

Adorable Child at breakfast this morning:

I hadn’t realized all the things Daddy does…”

She said this (I’m a tad embarrassed to admit) because she was eating her waffles with a plastic fork.  All the “real” forks were in the dishwasher… which I’d just started.
Polimom was a bit quicker to notice that Daddy’s hand was off the tiller.  My own rude awakening (literally) was when I remembered yesterday at 5:30 am that the auto-start for the coffee-maker requires nightly feeding and watering.  (The good news about the coffee-maker is that I also remembered that its innards need to be cleaned periodically.  This morning’s cup tasted much better than it has in awhile…)
We’re feeling the pinch most, though, with the dog — ostensibly AC’s, but long-since converted to Dear Husband’s faithful companion.

No matter how many times I walk her or take her to the park and throw the ball, I’m just not the preferred human — and doggy treats only make up for so much.

It’s funny (in an awe-inspiring way) how big a hole someone’s absence can cause, eh?  If you’re reading this, DH… thank you for all you do.  We’ve noticed.
