Polimom Says

The things people read…

One of the nice things about having started a second blog is that I can get a different perspective on who is reading about which issues, judging from google search terms. (There are some drawbacks, too, but that’s a different post…)
The traffic between this blog and Polimom Too is quite different, because P2 goes out as a “Houston Chronicle” source – and thus visits a different crowd.
For instance, this morning’s post to the Chronicle was about New Orleans. About half of the readers on that story have googled in from the Gulf Coast, with the rest pretty evenly distributed around the country.
This afternoon, though, I posted one about illegal immigration, and the results are both interesting and gratifying — because a majority of folks looking at the debate are coming in from colleges and universities.
I like that! I could be wrong, but it implies the young of our country are engaged in the immigration reform debates – or at least thinking about it.
