When Adorable Child decided to start swimming competitively last year, we really hadn’t a clue what we were getting into. Our knowledge could be summed up with, “they swim a lot” and “they have meets sometimes”.
LOL!
Turns out to be rather a lot more complicated than that. It also seems that AC is pretty good at it — and so we’re off to Addison TX this afternoon for TAGS – the highest level competition a 14-&-under Texas swimmer can achieve who hasn’t made a Junior Nationals qualifying time.
AC has qualified in five individual events, but since her best stroke is the ‘fly, she’ll be swimming it a lot… and it looks much better than this these days:
From where this mom is sitting, though, that already looked pretty good!
