You know, folks, I’m glad we worry so much about possible governmental intrusions into our rights and privacy. Big Brother is always lurking.
Take the UK, for example…

They’ve given us a lovely example of why we should never let a government expand that far. I have confidence that the opposition to, and condemnation of the proposal will kill it dead, but it serves as a reminder to us all: our rights and freedoms are precious, and governments will clomp all over them if they can.

I wouldn’t be too sure that this thing will be DoA. After all, in this country all that is needed would be a linkage to the War on Kiddie Pr0n, and the Bill O’Reilly fanboys would be all over this like stink on ****, demanding not only that we implement it here, but that the NSA add this database to all the others they have to mine through.
Just think, they might find a real live drug-dealing, kiddie-pr0n viewing terrorist out there! Surely that is worth giving up a bit of freedom for, isn’t it?
