Between one thing and another, Polimom let a date pass unmentioned on the calendar: the blog turned One on July 5.
So — belated Happy Birthday to Polimom Says…
In the course of a year, Polimom has welcomed nearly 100,000 guests, moved, survived (barely) two hurricanes, experienced mitosis and cellular reintegration… and for the most part, had a blast.
Over 700 posts and thousands of comments. Who’da thunk it?
In honor of this somber occasion (*snort*), I’ve been trying to think of something profound to say — some brilliant combination of words to mark the moment. Oddly, the burning question in Polimom’s mind this morning is: Do blogs (and bloggers) age like dogs or fine wine?
Toddle on, Polimom.

Polimom’s pretty far behind the power-curve this morning. For some reason, my mind has turned to mush and I can’t pull a coherent thought together, much less write. Sigh…. I’m going back to bed. I’ll start the day again later. …

Or like beer on Bourbon Street?
Congratulations!
Unable to think of any suitable recognition of my own blog’s first birthday (in March), I just let the date pass unnoticed. Oh well.
I have to say I’m surprised to learn you and I have been blogging about the same amount of time — you’re such a pro. Obviously this was made for you.
“Or like beer on Bourbon Street?”
I didn’t think the life expectancy of beer on Boubon St was long enough to allow it to “age”.

You know… I am surprised that, with the infux of folks from NOLA, we haven’t seen an increase in the number of shops offering cafe-au-lait and beignets. I for one would love to see a Cafe du Monde franchise open up here…

When I think of aging beer and Bourbon St., I’m hit with olfactory overload. Thanks, Schroeder… (LMAO)
Congratulations! Keep up the good work.
So forester…. that pro thing…. does that usually include money?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
:>
I vote for wine. Congrats and may ya have many more – or until everyone moves to Podcasts *LOL*
