Can you see the future?

1. In high school, a friend and I seemed to be tuned in to one another. “I think I’ll call Dot,” the phone rings, and of course it’s Dot. That happened a lot. And there were a few other things. But several years later something happened that really made me think. I was driving home from work, passing within a mile or so of where she worked. I had a very strong urge to exit the expressway and go see her to the point of nearly having to wrestle with the steering wheel to stay my homeward route. I had to convince myself not to do it. There would be no place to park. She was in a secure facility and I’d have to get a pass to get in. She might not even be at work. … So, that night I called her. And found out at just at the time I was passing, she was having a heated conversation about ESP with a non-believer, telling him about our continuing “link”. Had I actually stopped to see her, I think the guy might have had to change his underwear. 🙂

2. My husband has premonition dreams. A few years ago he dreamed of watching a large plane flying over and then crash. He said the plane looked old, maybe WWII era. A few days later on the news we saw the video of an old plane performing in an airshow in France crash. He said it was just like in his dream. Then in the 2-3 weeks before Katrina, he dreamed of a hurricane coming to N.O. with the overwhelming message to “get out”. He had this same dream 6-8 times and has never had it again since the storm. The 2 evacuations previous to K we went to a downtown hotel but because of this dream we evacuated out of state.
   I have had small premonitions – not as dramatic as his. The one that comes to mind is one Sunday morning, sitting at the breakfast table, a thought came to me: I wonder if Mr. T (our elderly neighbor) died, if we would go to the funeral. Two days later we found out at the time I had that “thought” he had been lying for 2 days on the floor of his bedroom having suffered a stroke. He died about a week later.
   Long comment, I know, sorry!

3. I have premonition dreams often, and have since I was a child. As an adult, I decided to journal my dreams to help me confirm this. I recommend it. Most bookstores have dream journals that also contain information about interpreting your dreams. I found it not only confirmed that I dream things before they happen – but I also remembered dreams I wouldn’t have otherwise, dreams that helped me to see what was troubling me at different times. Last night, I dreamed that my ex-husband married a mutual friend of ours…I’m just trying to figure out how to determine if that one is true!!!
   I also have a strong ESP link with my mother, where I often call her at exactly the same time she calls me (one of us will answer call waiting and it’s the other!)

4. My mother had premonitions. I was at first inclined to poohpooh aggressively because such things don’t fit into my rationalist world view, but i eventually had to ackowledge the facts, that something not otherwise embraced by our current pathetic understanding of the universe is going on there. there’s a well documented but totally not understood phenomenon in quantum mechanics in which two conditions widely separated in physical space are nonetheless apparently intertwined. i draw the cautious tentative conclusion that premonitions and apparently supernatural intuitions have a real physical existence which our current grasp on the universe’s physical laws is inadequate to explain.

5. I went to town today with a freind were both forteen and got talking about strange thing that have happend to us turns out she has premonisions all the time just Knowing or glimpsing whats going to happen she also played with ghosts as a child yet ofcorse didnt think nething of it natully i teased her saying she was the sixth sense boy yet she has seen things since then and I eblive her because I 2 get pemonitions creepy ay one night at 3.15 i remember looking at the clock, i was woken from a dream by a growing sound, throwing everything off my bed after the noise repeted i pushed down a box that hjad been thrown on the floor natuarlay scared to deth i leg it out of my room before goign back to be with the light on that night i woke sudenly from a dream just of shopping and 3-6mounths later it happend as i sed
   i have never been as scared as i was that night but I have decided instead of pleading every night for it to stay away let it come back and try not to be afraid even though I no that it could harm me but I hope not lol

6. I think I’m rather average in dreaming as far as seeing the future goes. I think we all get wild strange amazing ones every now and then…….However, I had a dream on 8-13 or 8-14 (forgot exact date)….
   it’s rather hard to explain b/c there wasn’t any visual pcitures, no voice, nothing….it was just a “knowing” or knowledge of something….it was just like being inside a mind….(strange) Anyway, the dream had to do with the entire US nation & what was to come…..A GREAT Depression is to come …but the understanding in the dream was that it wasn’t going to be immediately (the word “immediately” was in the dream i remember strongly) but instead it is to happen after sometime after some more events in the middle east (linking to the current crisis) Also in the dream there was an understanding that…which i quote as words understood in the dream “No man will have a job and no man will have enough money to buy food or drink.”
   i’ve heard thru another that the book of revelations talks about the details of not enough money for food or something like that etc. I actually didn’t know this even though i have read the bible (certain books mainly psalms). anyhow, this is the dream I had in all honesty. i don’t know what to think of it as it was the strangest dream i’ve had i have to say b/c there was nothing visual…….i’d hate to see if this dream comes true….

   i really believe this will happen. this dreams has left a strange impact on me and i can’t describe it. btw, i saw that you were an arabic linguist for the army?
   i’ve been studying the arabic alphabet on my own but i just found a private tutor and am rather excited to dive into the language. what was your experience like working with this language in your job, how did you learn it? i’ d love to hear about your story…..

9. Hmmm…. Arabic….. It’s kind of a long tale, but the upshot is that I found it to be a relatively logical language, structurally, but there were some sounds (one vowel in particular) that I struggled to pronounce correctly. I also found it easier to write than read, primarily because of the stylism.
   I never used it for the government, but it’s come in handy many times over the years. However, it wasn’t my language of preference. (I wanted to learn Mandarin.)
   I wish you lots of luck with it. It’s an interesting choice.

10. I just want to comment on SusanS’s comment. To be honest with you, that depression that you forsaw in your dreams is a recurring event in human history. Depression and then war or War and then depression. The economy picks up to manufacture things for the war, but once the war is coming to an end everything drops. When that drop happens, this time around that is, because of the economic standings of this country, only those who have an enourmous amount of money will beable to survive without the aid of “The Mark” as stated in Revelation 13. I tell people all the time that the world is coming to an end, because I can see it unravel infront of me. Sort of like…dreaming while your awake. Sadly, only a few of the people I talk to even want to believe me. I want to thank you posting that dream, for it has reassured me of everything that I do believe.

11. Yeah, I’m kind of going through a stage like that, I keep dreaming that things are going to happen and they do. I don’t really know what’s happening to me, I keep feeling that I’m turning psychic!!!!

12. Hello! My name is Sandra. I can see the future, among other abilities. Not exactly when I want to though, and not just in dreams. See, I have had this ability since I was born. It is inheritable. My mom’s side of the family is more in touch with their psychic abilities. I am as well. For instance, when my Grandfather died, I was 6 years old. I knew it was going to happen. I even kissed him and told him goodbye. I told him it would all be over soon and not to worry. When my great Grandmother died, I was 8. The phone rang and I told mom what it was about before she even picked up the phone. When I was 9 the phone rang and in front of my Uncle, I told my little sister that my Aunt had just died and someone was calling to tell us. My mom came in a few minutes later and gave us the news. My uncles jaw dropped. Granted, none of those were good cases, but that is an example of the harshness psycic abilities with-hold. In my family, we call it the Abby Curse. That was the last name of the family that had it first in our family… that we can remember. Some people think psychic abilities are a gift. They want them. They think they are wonderful. Not everybody grasps that it is not a great feature. Everybody has the ability. Only a few know how to use it.
    Another ability I hold is to be able to feel what others feel. When I’m around happy people, that is great because the feeling washes over me as if it were my own, but when someone is sad, angry, hurt… anything along those lines, I feel that too. It is not so great then. The only time I feel my own feelings is when I am alone. When I’m with someone who is acting as if they are happy but they are really sad or upset about something, I act sad or upset. Then that frustrates them more which overall frustrates me.
    I’m not meaning to make it into a life story, I’m just meaning to say that yes, I have in fact had that happen to me. Never doubt the unknown, because when your guard is down, is when the unknown will attack.

13. I also think that premonitions are hereditary. My Aunt had a dream that my mom was going to die only days before she actually passed. She told my Grandmother and my mom about the dream and they both dismissed her. To this day she fears her dreams. I have also experienced some strong intuitive feelings that make me change what im doing on the spot. For example: one time in high school me and two buddies, Mike and Tie, decided to ditch for a while and go smoke pot in a large bush that had been hollowed out and fixed up with large rocks for chairs. It took us awhile to get there. When we got there we had to pull out our mini stereo and smoking gadgets. Suddenly I got a very ugly feeling right below my sternum. I had felt this feeling before and it always meant that something bad was about to happen. By this time I had already spoken with Mike about this feeling but Tie had never heard of it. I quickly turned to Mike put one hand over my chest and with a stoic face said “We need to go!” Tie protested saying that we had just gotten there he asked if I was crazy, but Mike simply started packing everything back up and began to get ready to leave. Tie reluctantly followed along. As soon as we were on the way back to school the feeling subsided. Half-way back to class Tie started scuffling around his back pack looking for something. “Crap I forgot my pipe. I’m gana go back to get it.” We kept on walking and Tie went back on his own. Later that day we ran into Tie again. He told us that when he got back to the bush he saw it was being raided by 2 police officers. He kept on walking then doubled back and headed straight to school. He thanked me for making us leave for we would have been caught red handed. Mike only looked at me in disbelief. It was the first time I was able to confirm my feelings in front of him.

14. Hi im veliotta im 10 years old I dont know if this is having cycic abilities or not but I see things happening very bad things I don’t like talking about it but it scares me.
    Crows always follow me.I was watching a movie and I ahd a vision that me and my fiends diied in a car crash and I saw them all die im afraid to go to the movies please post a comment or suggestion this scares me a lot!

15. Hi, just wanted to add my piece. I had my first premenition (that I still remember) when I was 6. I dreamed that my Godmother’s telly exploded and caught fire causing flames to curl up the curtains. I was terrified and I went in to tell my mum, who, obviously dismissed it as a night-mare. The next day,when my mum came to collect me from school, she was in shock, her best friend (my Godmother) had been woken in the night by her telly exploding. Luckily no one was hurt. Since then I have had a few wierd dreams, some I hope are not premenitions as they don’t predict happy events.
    However, the week I conceived, I dreamed I saw a posative result on a pregnancy stick and now I have a wonderful little boy.
    The most shocking dream I’ve had (that I can now talk about as it has already happened) was one where I was in a hotel with my son, trying to get to higher ground because there was a massive wave coming form the ocean. 2 days later, the Sunami hit.
    Another was a modern high speed train some where which crashed (fell off it’s track) on its first journey. In the new the following week was a very similay occurance.
    All of these “premenitions” have a slightly different format to dreams or nightmares and I’m only just beginning to recognise this and try and home in on it. I do write down the outline of these dreams as soon as I wake up and then I find I can remember every detail later.
    I am currently writing my first book which is based on one of my most vivid and moving dreams…this is about one in which I hope will never come true, but the out-come never-the-less is not all that bad.

16. Hi my name is thom,I have a great feeling that we all have some sort of esp or whatever you want to call it. The hardest part is talking about it without most people thinking your crazy. I was kind of lost in a lot of ways with my friends and family not being able to express myself . There are wonderfull things in this world and we all are connected and can all make a difference.

18. Hi, my name is Wesley Miller and I have the ability to sence when bad things will happen. I can’t exactly say when it happened, but when I was younger, about 8 or 9, I was in a church service one sunday, and all was good. Then there was a woman, an older woman about mid to late 40’s who had asthma, pretty bad too. I knew her as a friend and she was a fun person to be around. But as I approched her after the service, I felt this form of depression come over me. I couldn’t figure it out exactly but it was there. The next weekend, I was over my friends house, about to leave, when my mother pulled up the drive way. As she did, I knew that something was wrong because I felt that same feeling but a little bit weaker. I walked up to the car and she told me that the woman had died the night before. What was weired though was that It didn’t devastate me like I thought it would. Now, I still have those feelings but I don’t know how to control it in order to protect my family. I know that I can master this though, It’s only a matter of time and training.

19. Wow, my mother and father both have psychic abilities, I have small ones that don’t matter much now, but then again I’m only 14. My dad has seen his own death 2 times and prevented it once and the other was at his job. (construction)He dreamed he was in a hole and it collapsed on him and he died. He refused to go into the hole the next day. His partner went in it and it collapsed and he died. Another time he saw it when he was being drowned and he was able to pull himself out. Mostly they are dreams, but sometimes visions. He usually gets pieces and has to put them together like a puzzle, just like my mother. When my dad warns the person, it doesn’t happen. When he doesn’t, it does. My mother knew the queen Diane’s death, my great gradmother’s and only 6 years ago, one of her four kid’s own death. He was one of my three brothers. It’s just not fair. I can like read my friend’s minds and looked at the clock 7 days in a row and it was the exact same time. I feel someone and i turn around and there is someone I know. I dream that we will have a two hour delay and tell my friends. They are excited and I stay up later as if it was already broadcast and not just my imagination, but it always comes true. I’m scared, I don’t want to see my loved ones or my own death when I get older, but I don’t get to choose that now do I, for anyone who doesn’t believe, well I’m living proof. I wouldn’t be alive today if not for that. Both my parent’s would have died before they even met each other, and for this souly, I am thankful.

20. Its good to see more people that have had similar experiences like mine. I dont quite ‘dream’ the future, but ive heard what i can do described as precognition, or the ability to ‘feel’ exactly what is going to happen anything from a few seconds to a whole day away. (amongst other abilities) When i was young though, i had the most terrifying dreams, where everything would appear normal like i was awake, but there was always this everlasting fear that was so great that it is baerly possible to be so afraid in reality, because i knew somthing was there, a great shadow that haunted my every dream when i was only 2 or 3 until i was 10 when i found protection. curiously, at the age of 2, eververy time i had the dream, i would wake up screaming, yelling, “chanzance!, chanzance!”
    Does anyone know what this means? I always used it as a name for the shadow.

21. LAST SUNDAY I WAS IN CHURCH, AND FELT ANGELS ALL AROUND ME. I THOUGHT I WAS IMAGINING IT . THAT SAME DAY I HAD PEOPLE TELLING ME , THEY SAW A BRIGHT LIGHT SURROUNDING ME… ALL I KNOW IS THAT I FELT THE LORD’S PRESENCE AND CONTINUE TO HEAR ; I AM YOUR LORD HEAR MY VOICE……I SAW DISTRUCTION ‘ METEORS/ HURRICANES/ TORNADOES/ FLOODS/TSUNAMI/ FIRE COMING DOWN FROM THE SKY – MANY PLAGUES , SO MANY PEOPLE DYING , SUFFERING AND ASKING THE LORD TO HELP THEM . HE ANSWERED ME BY SAYING; YOUR FAMILY WILL BE SPARED. WHAT IM TRYING TO TELL THOSE THAT HEAR AND READ THIS . JESUS IS COMING BACK . WE NEED TO REPENT AND ASK THE LORD FOR FORGIVENESS SO SOMEDAY WE COULD REJOICE IN HEAVEN . GOD BLESS!

One of my friends mom was sick from cancer and it has gotten worse in the passing month and I heard from someone that they had sent her home from the hospital to be with family and friends to be more comfortable because she didn’t have very much time left. A few weeks passed and one night I had a dream that I was asking someone if they heard about their mom and then I told the person I was talking to that she had died. But the next day I found out that she had actually died that night of the dream and I was so sad for him and his family but I couldn’t shake the feeling that told me there is something very strange that I had that dream after not talking to him for a long time and not hearing about him and his mother for awhile.

24. yea I have it, I can tell you who is on the phone before it rings, the color of the car next into the intersection. I can tell you if a person is gona turn left or right and with a touch of a hand, know a persons life history. I can relax, and “skip see” as I call it. events to happen that have not yet in a person’s life. and I can do this on command, awake. How???? science can explain a lot. The mind is an electric machine. Electrical impulses, are stored in the memory, a persons thoughts also are electrical energy. A person that can do this, is simply sensitive to these electrical pulses,,, “skip seeing” as I call it, time runs in cycles, just like an electrical signal, or hertz / wave form. when one can see the future, the are seeing over the tops of each cycle, these, like the time space continume are linked, so if one can “read” the electrical impulses,, one can see across the cycles of time, and distance. you are literally skipping across each cycle. backwards or forwards. I find this easy to do and use this often.

25. it has happen to me 3 times. i have a dream then it happens .one of them were bad i work my way through that one i did not do the last 2 things before it happen. other dreams were. just knew what poeple were going to do and say minor things that i knew what was going to happen. but that happen when i was 16 years old when first happen then when i was 17 then 18 .but the dreams i had for the 3 times were so strong i could fell smell every thing so strong in my dream.first time it happen to me. it was even stronger smells and touch in up state to strong for me i knew every thing that was going to go down i just wanted to get home were i knew i need to sit down and hope the goose bumps would go away on my body ill never will forget my first time but the other 2 did not last 2 hours small 3 to 5 min

27. hi i use to see the future in my dreams and it would hapen in real life usualy a few days later and sometimes years later this happend quite a few times when i was a kid. i try not to remember my dreams anymore becuase of this. i am a biological scientist so i know that this thing should not be posible but it does happen. i have never told anybody about this before becuase it sounds nuts.

29. hi i am 35 yrs old and from as long as i can remember my grandma told me i had a gift she used to say dont let anyone train you. i always thought what is she on about untill one day my parents where taking us to visit my grandparents i was 11 at the time i refused to go as i told my mother my grand father was going to die she was horrified and dragged me along sure enough he died. i was always knowing things before they happened not in dreams just knew . i predicted my nanas death as well i also knew my sister was having twins. it is weird

30. when i was younger, something really weird happend to me. i hit my head on the school desk as i fell over, and when i did that i had a flash in my head and i saw my mother getting ran over by a 3 series bmw on the way to pick me up from school. when i was waiting for my mom to pick me up, i heard car brakes and then a thud, so everyone ran over and my mom was layin on the ground and a 3 series bmw was stopped in the road. ever since then whenever i went to sleep i saw the next 24 hours of my life. thanks for lettin me share, not many ppl believe this sort of stuff they think ur phyco or somthin, DJ

32. well you could use it to help people, thats what i would use it for if i ever had the time. like if you saw someone get ran over by a car or somethin u could help they and step it before it happend but, if its half the way across the world it dont work ya know.

34. i know that you will not believe me but here i go anyway. i found this site because im scared and i wanted to know what was going on. ever since i was 6 i had strange things happen. like i would suddenly think of something without meaning to and it would happen. im 14 now and it just gets worse. i hear a voice in my head but its my own. and its only a short sentence. but it comes true. ive even come to the point of asking myself what is going on. i thought i was going crazy but it all came true. i was sitting in the car today and i think i reached a new level. i sat in the car and a very strange thing happened. i put my thunb and forefingers together and thought wind. as it was a warm day. and it came. i was really creeped out. i kept trying it with the wind and it kept happening. so i thought to prove it. i want a mighty wind to come this afternoon. i waited and nothing happened. but as i sat reading the window started smashing against the window frame. im scared and confused. am i crazy. or am i gifted. i dont know what to think anymore. if u dont belive me thats fine but please. if anyone can help me.

36. 1 thing first BOO could you please turn caps off. and josh you are not crazy, everyone if different, like me and my girlfriend i can see stuff before it happens and she can’t she just thinks i make it up but i do see. listen when u have spare time, sit in a room alone make sure there is nothing that can distract your attention, like sound or a flashing light. when you done that sit in the middle of the room light on or off and cross ur legs, then put your hands on your knees and clear your mind, then think something like a bottle falling over or a pencil floating or something and see if it works. we are all gifted just some of us prefer not to believe it and there so the gift is lost deep inside.

37. lately i have been doing what i just said, and i have been able to push past seeing the future to reading peoples mind, now i can talk to people in their head and read their thoughts i think its called telekinesis
    P.S. i can still see the future
