  1. Wow, that’s the second one this week.
    The article doesn’t say where in the Lower Ninth. I can understand if it was found near the levee breach because of the level of destruction there. But, if it was anywhere else, I have to wonder…

  2. Shocking. I’m posting a link to your blog from mine. The suits in DC have all gone to their comfortable homes for Christmas, while bodies lie rotting in our city. “Dismal” and “disgusting” are kind words to apply to those politicians right now.

  3. The 9th ward flooding was no accident. Think about it…. if the French Quarter and the CBD were flooded instead of the 9th ward, what would New Orleans have left to pull in the money? The people of the 9th ward died for tourism! We’ve heard for years that the Corps(e) of Engineers had explosives that they would use on the levee system in order to save New Orleans from flooding. What makes you think they didn’t do the same thing they did during hurricane Betsy?

    I’m so sorry that you’ve bought on to this urban legend. The spreading of that rumor is one of the most damaging repercussions of the entire Katrina disaster (imho).
    What does it take to convince people that the levees weren’t deliberately blown?
