  1. What’s scary is that the restraint of the Texas abortion foes seems to be purely based on tactical consderations, not what they think is right:
    most think a law blatantly violating Roe v. Wade at this point is hasty, risky and too brazen for Texas to attempt.
    “I’m not saying we don’t support a total ban. It’s just not realistic at this point,”
    At least they make their long range position clear. Actually, it reflects the all or nothing position on both sides that will keep the issue from ever being resolved. Or even fading into the background.
