  1. Oh, that’s a tough one. My interpretation was that Boasso was just being a realist and getting what he thought he could. I too, however, thought that was mighty peculiar, and he should have been able to get all the forces for change behind him. Still, the Louisiana legislature remains filled with self-serving characters.

  2. I think Boasso probably does have the forces for change behind him. I’m also glad the Times Pic ran the editorial blasting the “nay” voters, because it brought me some further information I might not otherwise have had.
    Personally, I’m hoping Jeff Arnold means what he said about not liking the way the exemptions looked (and obviously he was right about a different flood issue for Algiers). What the levee boards really need is a full change, not “everybody except…”.
