Rush Limbaugh proves yet again that some Americans aren’t particularly concerned that they’re getting their heads filled with drivel from idiots (from MediaMatters, where you’ll also find a transcript):
During the March 31 broadcast of his national syndicated radio program, Rush Limbaugh referred to the alleged victim of a rape by members of the Duke University lacrosse team as a “ho[].”
And no, I’m not buying the “slip of the tongue” argument. Limbaugh is not Lenihan. Furthermore, Rush — saying you’re not “as bad as” Keanu Reeves doesn’t mean you’re not a vile toad.
I’m embarrassed to say that I actually know people who take this nut seriously. I try to avoid them…

Update: Sigh…. and then there’s Boortz. I’m thinking maybe some antihistamines or something for the radio jockeys might be helpful lately. Seems to be a real rash of this type of nastiness going around. UNbelievable.
WELL, WELL, WELL, another “slip” of the tongue? i doubt it very highly, being that Mr. Limbaugh may have been on another pain killer binge and simply spoke as he truly feels. It’s a shame that in 2006 some people view the victime as the cause of the problem. Does it matter the occupation of the young lady or is it the act that was allegedly committed by some of those who were at the party?
