I first checked in with you in 2005 at the time of Katrina due to a great post of yours read on the radio by conservative talk show host Kirby Wilber on KVI 570 in Seattle. I admired your blog and your yeoman service in communications in Algiers, even though I disagree with some of your political positions and read it for quite a while. Just checked in again to see if you are still there. You sure are. Good on you. Just heard Gov. Jindal say that 95% of 2 million people in the “contact area” have been evacuated.

    It’s been massive. Amazingly so. And it looks so VERY different from 2005, all the way around (thank goodness!) I think everyone learned some things.
