It’s actually pretty interesting to watch some of the racial and gender stuff that this year’s campaign is stirring up. We are not as far along as we’d like to think.

And while I think “we” are farther along, generally, than this, there’s certainly an element still floating about. I’ve been flat-out amazed by some of the ugliness surfacing in various comment sections here and there.
