  1. I totally buy the “thinning the herd” theory, but when it comes to politicians and statesmen, I harken back to the obsercations of Bill Hicks:
    Kennedy: assassinated
    MLK: assassinated
    Reagan: wounded…

  2. Drinking and driving is hideous. How many times do people have to be warned about the dangers of alcohol consumption then getting on the road? Just last week a guy ran off the road and into the home of two senior citizens who were sleeping in their bedroom in their Missouri City home.
    More attrition. Both died.
Their sons were at home at the time of the deaths. How sad and unfortunate.

  3. A car with a drunk behind the wheel becomes a weapon – and it’s one of those unfathomables that the driver can walk away from something like that while innocents die.
There is no excuse for drunk driving. There is no new information that the driver didn’t have. He absolutely knew the risk.
My heart goes out to the families of those who die at the whim of these egomaniacs who somehow think themselves exempt from the effects of alcohol on judgment.
I have zero sympathy for the driver.
