  1. I’m not second guessing, but Continental Airlines is really pissing me off. I have I flight scheduled for Friday – MSY-IAH-CMH. I am silver with Continental, and just called about my options – the main one being just to drop the MSY-IAH leg.
Their answer is that if the airport is open, I will have to treat this as a reschedule and fees may apply, even though the city hasn’t approved us to come back yet. I am in Shreveport right now and need to figure out by Thursday if I should drive back to New Orleans or Houston.

  2. Well, now I’m really pissed – I just called Continental to find out how much it would cost to change my flight from MSY-IIAH-CMH to IAH-CMH. This is to stay on the same leg IAH-CMH that I am scheduled to fly on now. The change fee comes to $650 for me to drop the MSY-IAH leg. I am going to have to rethink my relationship with Continental airlines.

  3. I’m thinking you should ask whether ignoring the first leg and just picking the flight up in Houston (w/ out formally requesting a change) would work. Cuz that’s just nuts.

  4. As of Wednesday night, I was still contemplating my flight decisions. Based on Continental’s flight status (flights were shown to be going from about 8:00am Thursday) and the Nola.com info, I drove back to the New Orleans area Thursday just so I could make my flight Friday morning. I got in at 5:00 pm, my power was back on by 6:30. There almost seemed to be more airport staff than passengers. I was one of about 30 on a 737 to IAH.
