… is led by a buffoon.
“Texas is a unique place. When we came into the union in 1845, one of the issues was that we would be able to leave if we decided to do that,” Perry said. “My hope is that America and Washington in particular pays attention. We’ve got a great union. There’s absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, who knows what may come of that.”
Jesum. What a yahoo.
It’s a real tribute to Texans that this state is doing as well as it is, considering what we’ve got for leadership.
More embarrassing coverage here and here.

Clearly, at least some of the crazies came out for the tea parties today.
Um, you just figured this out about Perry?
Gov 39% is an Idiot . Maybe he is down to Gov 28% now
Apparently Gov. Perry was asleep during History class, or else he woulda remembered that this option was taken off the table, rather decisively, in about the mid-1860s.
Thank goodness we don’t let our Governors walk around with too much power. In Gov. Perry’s case, maybe we should also insist on a muzzle – or at least someone to pre-approve his every word…
(btw, i do applaud his statements reminding the Fed. gov’t of the existence of the 10th Amendment – sometimes the pols in Washington can be every bit as a-holy as the ones in Austin.)

Well…at least he’s a bit removed from your hometown. Try living in a city run by C. Ray Nagin!!!
Hahahaha! Maria, thank you so much for putting things in perspective! Yes, things could always be worse….
